It started in 1898 when 37 lumbermen met in Chicago to establish uniformity in the trade of hardwood lumber.

Today, the National Hardwood Lumber Association is a membership-based international trade association dedicated to the hardwood industry. We are the voice of the hardwood industry and represent the entire hardwood supply chain at all levels of production.
